Rigged Spin Wheel with Visible Odds

Create transparent weighting by repeating a choice: more visible segments give that choice a proportionally higher chance without hiding the setup.

Quick utility

Calculate a Weighted Wheel Pick

Enter each option with a positive weight to make higher-weighted choices more likely.

Weighted Wheel Result

Add options and positive weights before running the weighted pick.

What Is a Rigged Spin Wheel?

A weighted or “rigged” wheel gives some outcomes more chances than others. This version stays transparent: repeated entries create the weighting, and every repeated segment remains visible before the spin.

What this wheel includes

  • The sample wheel gives Choice A five segments, Choice B three, and Choice C two.
  • Delete duplicates to reduce an option’s chance or add duplicates to increase it.
  • For a fair equal-chance draw, keep exactly one copy of every unique choice.

Review the Odds

Count each repeated label before spinning so everyone can see the weighting.

Run a Random Weighted Spin

The stopping angle remains random, while duplicated choices occupy more of the wheel.

Fair Wheel Selection

How Fair Random Wheels Work

One entry per outcome gives every unique choice the same-sized segment and probability.

Transparency in Wheel Results

Visible duplicates make custom odds understandable instead of secretly changing the winner.

Return to Equal Odds

Remove duplicate labels until every unique choice appears exactly once.

Weighted and Rigged Wheel Questions

Can a spin wheel be rigged?

A wheel can be weighted by giving choices different shares. Here, weighting is created openly with repeated visible entries.

Is this wheel still random?

Yes. The stopping position is random, but a repeated choice has more segments and therefore a higher overall probability.

How can I ensure a fair spin?

Keep one copy of each unique choice so all outcomes occupy the same number of segments.

Is a weighted wheel suitable for a fair prize draw?

Only when the published rules intentionally assign different chances. Use one entry per participant when everyone should have equal odds.
