Getting Started with Spin The Wheel

Spin The Wheel is a free online tool that helps you make random selections from a list of options. Whether you’re picking a name, making a decision, or running a giveaway, here’s everything you need to know.

Step 1: Add Your Entries

Start by typing names or options into the input field on the left panel. Press Enter or click the + button to add each entry. You’ll see each name appear in the list and as a colorful segment on the wheel.

Tips for adding entries:

  • Keep names short for better readability on the wheel
  • You can add as many entries as you need
  • Each entry gets a unique color automatically

Step 2: Customize Your List

Before spinning, you might want to organize your entries:

  • Edit: Double-click any entry to modify it
  • Delete: Click the × button to remove a specific entry
  • Shuffle: Use the shuffle button to randomize the order
  • Clear All: Start fresh by removing all entries

Step 3: Spin the Wheel

Click the SPIN button at the center of the wheel. The wheel will accelerate, spin for a few seconds, and gradually slow down with realistic physics. The final position is completely random.

Step 4: Get Your Result

When the wheel stops, a popup shows the winner. You have three options:

  1. Remove Winner — Removes the selected name from the wheel (great for elimination rounds)
  2. Spin Again — Keeps all names and spins again
  3. Close — Dismisses the popup without any changes

Classroom Activities

Teachers can also use the student questions wheel to select prompts for discussions, group work, and presentations.

Giveaways and Raffles

Enter all participant names in the giveaway wheel and spin to select winners transparently. It works well for contests, live streams, and events.

Team Decisions

Can’t agree on where to have lunch? Add all the options and let the wheel decide. It eliminates bias and makes the process fun.

Game Night

Use the truth or dare wheel for party prompts, trivia team assignments, or deciding who goes first.
